Some days ago I was trying to play this game fully maxed out and I just got 40-55 fps all the time on GTX 1080 and i7 3770k with extreme stuttering in 1080p. In short, this game has horrible Physx implementation and incompatibility with both modern hardware and software. So, I have i7 3770k 4.2 GHz, GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G, 16 Gb DDR3 RAM and Windows 10 Creators Update, Nvidia drivers ver. Run the game and max out your settings except Physx and MSAA: set Physx to LOW and MSAA x4. I was trying to compare MSAA x4 and MSAA x8 but didn't find any difference at all, btw my GPU usage is 25% lower with MSAA x4 so this can increase your performance in 1440p or above. If you can't see any improvements with Physx on Low just disable it completely not just ingame, but in NVCP too (I mean you should set your CPU for Physx, this will remove Physx slider setting in game).
